By American Optical Co. (AO). The USAAF Sky 'Lookout' goggle was issued to aircrews on daylight bombing raids. They helped them spot enemy fighters attacking with the sun behind them. White metal ventilated frames with an AO marked adjustable nose-piece. Individual grey sponge rubber face cushions and an adjustable elasticated strap. Fitted with extremely dark green glass lenses. Very good frames bar light pitting, lightly soiled but completely flexible cushions and excellent lenses. The strap is lightly soiled but retains very good elastication. Complete with the original AO marked alloy 'coffin' box of issue. An excellent pair of goggles. Stock code G26582.
