Glasses, Flying Sun (Comfort Cable), AN6531, Type I. By Bausch & Lomb. Classic AAF sunglasses, 'face-form', metal frame, cushionless aviators' sunglasses. Nickel silver wire frames, wraparound 'comfort-cable' side-arms and green/grey tinted glass lenses. Beige sweat brow pad and nose-rests. Marked 'Bausch & Lomb' on the underside of the brow bar. With original felt-lined aluminium case. The glasses are in very good to excellent used condition with lightly tarnished/marked frames. Remember this looks much worse in high resolution ultra close-up photographs. Light marking/scratches on the lenses but nothing serious. The hinges are good with no notable lateral or vertical play. The B & L marked case is complete but has some scratches/soiling. The original owner has neatly scratched his name into the base 'A.I. DENNEY, Tulsa'. We had the same man's dog-tags but could find little information on him. 2nd Lt. Andrew Denney 0-711887 was born on 23rd August 1930 and died on 6th June 1987. He is buried in the Knoxville National Cemetery. Overall, a very good used pair of glasses. Stock code H25013.
