Jacket, Flying, Man's, Intermediate, Type G-1.  By A. Pritzker & Sons Inc.  No size indicated but physically measures approximately 42/3" so perhaps a 40" fit. Rare 1947 contract SPEC.55J14 (AER), Contract No. N388S-69537.  Manufactured in seal brown goatskin with matching rayon/nylon lining.  The leather is in excellent overall condition, strong and clean with only minor wear marks.  It is slightly dry/stiff to the touch but fit for wear and would no doubt soften up a bit with some leather dressing and use.  Clear strong 'USN' mark stencilled to the rear of the collar. It appears to have very carefully replaced knits (some tell-tale stitch holes visible under close inspection).  Superb soft genuine mouton fur collar with a buttoned closure strap. The original blackened brass Conmar zip is fully functional and complete with leather puller tag. The lining has a few small holes near the neck and some fading but is otherwise undamaged and complete with tafetta weave label and leather hanger.  These very early G-1 jackets are of significantly higher quality than later examples and are on a par with the wartime production M-442A and M6552.  A fabulous jacket. Stock code J25022.

Approximate size : pit to pit 42", centre of pit to waist 16", centre of pit to cuff 19.5", shoulder to cuff 24.5", collar/neck seam to waist 26.5", shoulder to shoulder 18" .
