Jacket, Flying, Man's, Intermediate, Type G-1. By Star Sportswear Mfg. Co. Size 40. Physically measures approximately 41" so perhaps more of a 38" in reality. This is a 1970s 'D' series Vietnam war period jacket, MIL-J-7823D(WP), Contract No. DSA-100-70-C-0483 (1970). Manufactured in seal brown goatskin with matching rayon/nylon lining. The leather is in very good to excellent overall condition, strong, fairly clean and, aside from minor scuffs, free of damage. The letters 'USN' are pierced into the zip flap. The original waistband has a couple of small 'snags' and a neat repair as shown and both knitted cuffs appear undamaged. The Dynel faux fur collar would benefit from a careful clean and is complete with the usual buttoned closure strap. The original brass Conmar zip is fully functional and the lining is undamaged and complete with label and leather hanger. Note that both pocket closure buttons are absent. Stock code J27592.
