Standard issue officer rank cap. Manufactured by Woodrow expressly for Moss Bros. Appears small, approximately 50.5cm inner circumference. The barathea cloth is generally very good, there is light fading and soiling but this is only really noticeable when compared with the normally unexposed areas of the cap. There are a couple of small moth holes but these don't really detract. The leather 'chinstrap' has surface wear but is complete. Very good mohair band and a good bullion badge. Unfortunately the cotton lining is very ragged, particularly at the front of the cap. The silk inner crown is printed with the manufacturer's details and 'By Appointment to the Late King George V'. The silk is torn, as is the greasepaper cover. A good displayable cap with a rather tatty lining. Stock code U26953.
