Folded card approximately 6 x 9.5cm. Issued to Charles F Osborne by Air Raid Precautions of Battle Rural District Council and faintly dated 5th May 1942. It states that he is a member of a Fire-Fighting Party possessing the powers of entry and of taking steps for extinguishing fire etc. Battle and East Sussex were of course very much in the front line in terms of overhead dog-fights, crashed aircraft, air raids, doodlebugs and preparation for D-day. A bit faded otherwise in good condition. Stock code P27372.
