Rare double-sided homefront patriotic wool blanket approximately 1.5 x 1.5m (58 x 58"). Cream and dark brown with cotton twill taped edges. It features a large four-bladed propeller motif in the centre with each blade reaching to the corners. Within each blade is a large cream-coloured bomb and along each edge of the blanket there is a King's Crown pilot wing with a 'V' for victory in place of the usual 'RAF'. Between the propeller blades in each section are three RAF aircraft. The other side of the blanket repeats this pattern but with reversed colours. There is a minor repair close to the edge and very minor fading but overall condition is excellent. Probably intended for a child's single bed but would make a super collection backdrop, table cover or similar. This is the third we've had in 30 years but the others were produced in a different colourway. Stock code M27375.
