Wohin in Paris - Der Deutsche Wegleiter, 1941
P/b, No.31, November 1941. 13.5 x 21cm, 114p. 'Where To Go In Paris - The German Guide'. This was produced for the German armed forces during their occupation of Paris to help them locate reliable places of entertainment under German supervision. It specifies which 'soldiers cafés', 'soldiers cinemas', 'soldiers theatres' and 'soldiers events' could be visited/attended where they would be 'welcomed', some even specifying Luftwaffe personnel. The guide also has articles about Paris, details of sporting events, photographs, maps and period adverts for theatre productions, cabaret and revue shows. The cover is a little dog-eared and has damage to the spine and corroded staples. The pages are yellowing but all remain perfectly legible. A fascinating item relating to the German occupation of France. Stock code P24215A-141.
