The DR 3 was an improved version of the DR 2 dead reckoning 'triangle' computer commonly referred to by pilots as a Knemeyer. 15cm diameter in size with a rotating inner ring and perspex 'pointer' arms. The DR 3 was constructed in bakelite plastic with aluminium rivet joints in place of the DR 2's screws. Dated July 1943. Shows wear and use with some cracks and knocks. This example is in the less commonly found fluorescent yellow colour for use at night. Well marked. Good display piece. Reasonable condition. Priced accordingly. Stock code M20234.
