No obvious markings but appears to be large and almost certainly a size '3' or '4', stores reference 22c/451 or 452. The leather is in very good overall condition with minor surface scuffing and marks. There appears to be a little white residue in the grain from earlier leather dressing but this could be improved and doesn't detract greatly. Stamped A Crown M and reference codes. This early example has only 2 press studs fitted, making it suitable for an E-type oxygen mask. Another early feature is the 'one-up one-down' goggle strap layout. All straps are good but the press studs have lost much of their original coatings. Good Bennett buckle and very good chinstrap complete with metal end tip. The rubber receiver carriers are a liitle stiff and show minor cracking on the edges when flexed but fitting receivers won't be an issue. This helmet has a relatively clean chamois lining with just one small hole adjacent to one of the press studs. Fitted with an excellent oxygen mask clip. Sold unwired. A very good example of this rare early version of the C-type in a large size. Stock code HCS2001.
