Typed letter on Air Transport Auxiliary HQ headed paper. Approximately 17 x 20cm. Dated 3rd September 1945 and addressed to T/O H.C. Elliott at No. 4 Ferry Pool, Prestwick. Essentially it informs him that it has been decided 'with regret, to terminate your agreement with A.T.A. dated 20th October 1942' and that he should report for clearance formalities. Pilot, Third Officer Henry Charles Elliott, born 28th February 1912 was 30 when he joined the ATA in 1942. He remained with the service for almost 3 years. Folded with some stains and tears.
