AVRO Lancaster Flight Engineer's Notes

Notes for the Lancaster Aircraft, AVRO Type '683' MK.I & III. Published by A.V.Roe & Co. Ltd., Manchester, March 1944.  Card covers, 15 x 23cm.  Approximately 35p plus around 13 pullout diagram/charts at the back.  The book covers fuel and oil systems; aeroplane controls; engine controls; handling; operating data; emergency procedures etc. The diagrams include the instrument panel, hydraulics, fuel system, turret hydraulics etc.  Each copy was marked as 'Confidential', covered by the official secrets act and had an individual reference number, 6388 in this case.  The cover is creased and dog-eared at the edges. There is surface damage and the spine has been taped and there is partial separation of pages from the spine (see & enlarge photo 13).  The pages have minor puncture damage in the upper left corner but are generally good.  Named to a flight engineer from London.  Excellent research material.  Stock code P20568.
