An original large format colour negative, approximately 13 x 10cm. Super, clear rear/side shot on the apron of an unknown airbase. The photo appears to have been taken from the control tower and looks down over approximately six P-51 Mustangs and six P-38 Lightnings in the middle ground with a lot more aircraft in the distance. With a loupe, the aircraft codes can be read and have prefixes such as 'XV' and 'XA'. Some personnel can also be made out along with a fuel bowser or similar.
