Comprehensive secret briefing document for Bomber Command Operation No. GH 374 on the railway workshops at Bremen in Germany, dated March 1944.  Comprised of a foolscap typed document marked 'Secret' and 'Not To Be Taken Into The Air', this has 4 small amendment sheets attached.  This document details the location and description of the target - the third largest railway repair works in Germany, camouflage and decoys.  With this come 3 aerial photographs of the target, Target 6 (d) (I) 1. The first is approximately 29 x 40cm, 1:32,000 and dated March 1944. The second at 1:34,000, measures around 20 x 28cm and is dated March 1943.  The third zooms in further (1:18000), measures approximately 23 x 29cm, and is dated October 1942.  Finally, there is a large target map (24 x 44cm), 1 : 1000,0000, dated 1944.  Each document is marked with the same target and 'Op. No.'.  Generally in good condition bar general wear and creasing, some edge tears and pin holes etc.  Originally sold by us over 15 years ago and recently repurchased as part of a huge paperwork collection.  A rare find.  Stock code P22873-189.
