RAF Form 441. Approximately 28 x 43.5cm (opened out). Document relating to a Bomber Command raid on warehouses & installations at Dusseldorf on 27th April 1943. It names the crew, gives the weather forecast and details the flight from take off to fusing the bombs, taking evasive action from Ju88s, sighting the target, dropping the bombs, evading flak and returning to base. So far so good. However, on researching bomber command activity for that night it seems that Dusseldorf was not a target. This document is undoubtedly original but would appear to be a training piece. Shows age with soiling, marks and small tears etc. Stock code P19858.
