Heinkel He 111 (2-Jumo 211). Identification/Recognition Poster Issue 3 - April 1944 (Superseding Heinkel He 111, Ha E). Approximately 38 x 56cm. Printed by Fosh and Cross Ltd. in May 1944 on fairly thin paper. Shows the silhouette of this German torpedo bomber from the front, underside and side. With some creasing and a few small edge tears that have been repaired using specialist ultra-thin acid-free archival tape that does not yellow, crack or harden and can be removed by a conservator. There is also an ink stain and paper loss on the right edge as seen. A bit tatty but displays quite well. These would have been used in training schools and were also displayed in Mess huts on active RAF bases. Will be posted in a card mailing tube. Stock code P25494.
