Chromed letters 'A.M.C.' worn by members of the Air Ministry Constabulary on the 'stand' collar of their uniform jacket.  The Air Ministry Constabulary was instigated in 1942 and its members were civilians sworn in as Constables under the Special Constables Act 1923 and employed by the Air Council for policing Air Ministry Premises. Each letter is approximately 2cm in height and has lug fixings to the rear (no split pins).  Good condition but some wear to the plating on the 'M'.  Quite scarce.  Stock code U16123.
