Gauntlets, Flying, 1933 Pattern. Stores reference 22c/269, size 81/2. The leather is in excellent condition, quite clean, supple and showing only light wear and use. The colour match isn't perfect but is better than many pairs. As 'left' and 'right' hand gloves were manufactured separately this is very common. Another point to note with these is that although clearly worn as a pair they are constructed differently, the right glove having an extra seam at the wrist. Air Ministry King's crown marked with 1940/1941 dates and A.I.D marks. Both original brass 'Lightning' brand zips are in good working condition, one retains the original leather puller tab. Each glove is faintly named to the owner, a Warrant Officer Zealand. A very good pair of gloves. Stock code GA18765.
