RAF 1933 pattern flying gauntlets

Gauntlets, Flying, 1933 Pattern.  Stores reference 22c/269, size 8^1/2.  The leather is in very good condition, quite clean and supple with relatively light wear and use.  The colour match is very good and  this is a rare true pair with matching contract numbers and 1940 dates.  Air Ministry King's crown marked.   Both original brass 'Lightning' brand zips are in good working condition and retain original leather puller tabs.   Each glove named to the owner, 'Crookshanks', along with his service number.  Acting Pilot Officer Francis Albert Crookshanks (emergency) - London Gazette, April 1945.  A very good pair of gloves.  Stock code GA23376.
