By Phelps & Co. Ltd (Indian Manufactured). Stores ref. 22c/449. Size 1. The leather is generally in excellent condition - clean,supple and showing only light use/wear. Fitted with 4 goggle straps. These are in good condition although there is loss of the original press stud coatings. Good chinstrap complete with metal end tip. The Bennett buckle is also very good. One of the rubber receiver carriers (left as worn) is flexible but does have a small split at the base of the 'U' opening - see photo No. 9. The right rubber receiver carrier appears to be a good replacement. The helmet lining is in very good, relatively clean condition and is complete with linen label. Early version fitted with just 2 press studs to each side making it suitable for 'E' series masks (one is a replacement). Please note that three additional new press studs have also been added to the lower edge of the helmet to display this with an Airgunners' windhood. Sold unwired and without receivers.
