Stores reference 22c/880, size 4. The leather is in very good overall condition, supple and clean with only minor scuffing and wear. Embossed with war department broad arrow and stores reference details. All goggle straps are good and retain most of the original coating on the press studs. Some soft verdigris deposits on the metal parts but these can easily be removed with methylated spirits. The lining has average soiling, one small hole in the right chamois 'donut' and another at the nape of the neck exposing the elastic beneath( see photographs). Both rubber receiver carriers are good and flexible. The chinstrap is lightly soiled and faded but retains a little elasticity. Sold as seen, unwired.
