Code: H24221

SOLD

By Sanders & Brightman of Luton.  Size 67/8, 1940 dated.  A basic flying helmet produced in blanket lined tan twill cotton.  Matching chin strap with single pronged buckle fastening.  An adjustable buckled strap runs across the forehead and the helmet is elasticated at the nape of the neck.  Earflaps on each side could be used with Gosport tube fittings or folded back to form a wind break roll.  Clear War Department ink marks on the lining and the original War Department broad arrow marked paper label remains in place.  Some storage soiling and marks but in excellent unused condition.  We've not seen one of these for a while.  Stock code H24221.
