Stores reference 6D/645. Size small. The facepiece is lightly soiled, has minor inward curling on the lower edge but retains very good overall shape. The rubber is in excellent flexible condition with only very minor cracking on the nosewire and harness retaining lugs. The harness webbing is a little stretched but retains reasonable elasticity and colour. Lined with lightly soiled light tan suede. The mask is complete with a very good type 48 microphone assembly (type 25 microphone, loom and socket) and anti-freeze gauze/retainer strip. It is named both on the harness and lining to Flight Lieutenant Hubert Pierce who flew as a pilot with 216 bomber transport squadron. He was also the squadron's entertainment officer.
