RAF H-type oxygen mask, WW2 dated

Code: O27465

£445.00 Approx $550.74, €516.84

Size medium.  Dated 2-45 (2nd quarter of 1945).  Extremely rare wartime dated example of this otherwise relatively common mask.  The facepiece retains very good overall shape with only minor inward curling of the edges, the rubber is quite clean and remains very pliable.  There is minor cracking on the harness retaining lugs and around the expiratory valve as shown in the photographs.  The pearl grey suede lining is complete and reasonably clean.  Fitted with a type 57 microphone assembly with a pink flecked dark tan coloured loom and the correct large 2-pin socket, type 614, 10H/18196.  The harness is faded and lacks elastication.  These late war H-masks are very difficult to obtain in any condition and are considerably rarer than the G-type mask.  A very good used example.  Stock code O27465.
