Stores ref. 6B/234. A subsititute standard pilot's wristwatch by Waltham. 1942 contract date. Black dial with Arabic numerals. Luminous hands and sweep second hand. 16-jewel 'hack' lever escapement movement. The 'waterproof' case is sound but does have quite a bit of scratching, small 'dings' and general wear. The dial is very good and the the crystal has only fairly light scratching. Fitted with what appears to be a very good original black leather strap with an unusual brass clasp. The watch case has British War Department broad arrow, 6B/234 and serial code markings to the rear. The movement and 'hack' facility appear to be in very good working order and the watch is keeping good time. Much cheaper than the 6B/159 pilot watches. Stock code C20895.
