Stores reference 1A/3927. Ultra-rare light green canvas holdall used by the Navigator to carry their chartboard, maps, parallel rules, pencils, protractors, compasses etc. Approximately 50 x 50cm with large single flapped pocket on one side, twin pockets on the other side and two carrying handles. The heavy cotton canvas is a little stiff and faded but reasonably clean. There is a small tear on one side as shown but it is otherwise very sound with good handles, faded War Department markings and 1944 date. Also marked with the previous owners' names. A great display piece. These bags are always highly sought after and difficult to find. Stock code M29615.
