Two small photographs taken by 218 Squadron Lancasters piloted by W/O McClennan & F/O Jenyns on the infamous Operation Thunderclap sortie to Dresden on 13/14th February 1945. Annotated in chinagraph pencil and with filing holes to the upper left corners. One photo captioned to reverse 'Aircraft landed in France ???? has returned 14/2/45'. Stock code P27183-87.
NB Flight Lieutenant Robert Lance Jenyns 17332, Royal Australian Air Force, 218 Squadron, was killed in action on
24th April 1945 aged 28.
