A collection of Secret RAF / Air Ministry photographs relating to Torpedo dropping trials. Approximately 42 in total. From 11 x 12.5 to 27.5 x 15cm. Most show views of warships, some are officially marked with speed estimations and August 1944 dated. Some are on Air Ministry photographic paper and annotated or stamped 'SECRET' on the rear. One identified ship is the Torpedo boat HMS La Melpomene. One photograph shows a demonstration of 'Synthetic Moonpatch with Ship in perfect position for Torpedo attack'. Another shows a recovered used/damaged torpedo. These also come with two allied & axis ship recognition sheets and alignment charts giving the speed of ships. An interesting lot that came in with the RAF Torpedo manuals and Air Diagrams listed elsewhere on the website. Stock code P16305.
