By Delta Electric Co., Indiana. US Navy plastic torch (flashlight) manufactured in hard grey plastic with a convex lens. Approximately 19cm x 6cm diameter clearly marked U.S.N and DELTA manufacturer's details. In reasonable condition, clean inside but one of the rubber seals is cracked, the silvered reflector has surface corrosion and lens is marked/deteriorated. Nevertheless, I imagine it could be made to work with the correct batteries/bulb. The A.P. for the Lightweight Flying Overall, better known as the 'Beadon' suit shows a page of 'Equipment special to the lightweight flying overall' which includes this specific torch - see photographs. The torch was carried within the lower right leg pocket along with matches, fire making tablets and sewing kit. A scarce item to help complete your suit. Stock code S24623.
