Stores reference 27P/19. Approximately 10.5 x 8 x 2.8cm. Gilt metal box - much like a sardine tin. Printed with instructions to the top 'Immediately Opened Transfer Contents To Waterproof Bag : Bury Empty Container In Jungle Or Throw Away In Sea Away From Dinghy.' The galvanized/cadmium plated 'key' is absent but the tin is sealed/complete with original contents which will include Horlicks tablets, chewing gum pieces, boiled sweets, and energy tablets. The tin has some small dents and marks but all text is legible and there is a faded 4/45 date stamp on the base. These rations were issued with the 'Beadon' flying suit and as part of other escape/survival packs. Stock code S25220.
