RAF Emergency Flying Ration, Mk.III

Stores reference 27P/19.  Approximately 10.5 x 8 x 2.8cm.  Gilt metal box similar to a sardine tin.  Printed with instructions to the top 'Immediately Opened Transfer Contents To Waterproof Bag: Bury Empty Container In Jungle Or Throw Away In Sea Away From Dinghy.'  Sealed/complete with original contents which will include Horlicks tablets, chewing gum pieces, boiled sweets and energy tablets.  The tin is in excellent overall condition and all text is clear/legible.  6/45 date stamped to underside and c/w key for opening.  These now scarce Mk.III ration packs were issued with the 'Beadon' flying suit and as part of other escape/survival packs.  Stock code S27512.
