'Sterilizing Outfit For Use With Water Bottles'. Small tin with hinged lid, approximately 6 x 6 x 2.5cm. It would have contained two glass bottles for sterilising tablets and Thio Tablets. Instructions for use are printed to the inside of the lid. These outfits were mainly issued to aircrews in the Far East in conjunction with survival kits and the Lightweight Tropical 'Beadon' flying suit. They continued to be issued post WW2 but those examples generally have slightly different bottles with postwar dated labels. This tin is empty and has wear and corrosion as shown. Stock code S17351.
