Stores reference 22c/72. Grey rubberized cotton stole for the 1941 pattern Mae West. The material is in reasonable condition, it is crumpled, stained and stiffened in places. Fortunately it remains supple enough to fit into a Mae West for display purposes. The oral inflation tube looks a bit messy as the linen covering is a bit ragged but the rubber remains flexible. The rubber sleeve at the upper end has been replaced with tape and the valve itself has hard verdigris deposits and is currently siezed. Currently fitted with a cork stopper and comes without circlip, inflation lever or CO2 bottle. These may be available to purchase separately. Air Ministry King's crown marked with clear 3/43 manufacture date mark. This stole almost certainly would not inflate and hold air. A bit tatty but good for display. Priced accordingly.
