Private purchase 1936 'style' flying boots
Unknown manufacturer. Size 10. Style G414A. Shearling lined black leather boots similar in style to the official issue 1936 pattern. They feature the familiar front 'V' cut with tightening strap but also have an additional frontal seam. Stitched leather soles and Avon rubber heels. Labels in each boot have style reference codes, size, CC41 utility mark and '1936'. The latter presumably referring to the official flying boot style rather than the date. Overall condition is good '+', the leather is supple and shows just normal wear. The straps show more wear and the pronged buckles have surface corrosion. Both soles and heels are sound and the fleece linings are good. Wear to the leather around the inner edge at the top of each boot. An excellent and much more economical alternative to a pair of official 1936 pattern boots. Stock code B22268.
