RAF 1936 Pattern Flying Boots, S8
Stores Ref. 22c/80. Size 8. 1939 dated. The leather is in quite good overall condition bar scuffing, surface crazing and some cuts. There is some colour loss in places but this can be remedied with polish or shoe dye if required. Good straps and buckles. The original leather soles and heel plates are very worn but fine for display purposes. The linings are a bit grubby and there is some loss of fur at the top edges and toward the ankle but they are generally in reasonable condition. The original insoles are still in place. The puller tags in both boots have clear Air Ministry King's Crown markings and 1939 date code. There are A.I.D marks on each of the other puller tags. A reasonably good used pair of these rare early boots. Excellent display item. Stock code B19080.
