RAF 1941 patt. Mae West CO2 bottle
Early pattern straight sided CO2 gas inflation bottle. The cylinder is discharged/empty but has sufficient copper thread remaining to enable it to be screwed into an inflation lever. Does have some surface corrosion but in good overall condition. Now extremely difficult to find. This example was removed from the 'flap type' Mae West belonging to Spitfire pilot R Littlewood DFM (see inflation lever also). The inflation lever shown is not part of the sale. Available to UK customers only due to postal restrictions. Stock code MW21980.
