RAF 1941 Patt. Mae West stole (bladder)

Code: MW20366

Sold

Stores ref. 22c/72. Grey rubberized cotton stole for the 1941 pattern Mae West. The material is excellent, very flexible and quite clean.  The oral inflation tube is good and the valve opens and closes freely.  Perishing of the rubber sleeve that surrounds the valve but this isn't an integral part of the tube. Not fitted with a circlip, inflation lever or CO2 bottle.  These are currently available to purchase separately. Air Ministry King's crown and War department broad arrow marked.  12/44 manufacture date and later inspection date of 1950. This would almost certainly still inflate but we advise against this as doing so introduces moisture and can promote internal rotting/perishing. An excellent late war example. Stock code MW20366.
