RAF 1941 Patt. Mae West Whistle - Plastic

Oatmeal coloured plastic tube whistle issued for the 1941 Pattern mae-west. Unmarked (as always). These were issued later in the war. It is generally regarded that this was done to prevent the possibility of metal whistles freezing to the lips in extreme conditions. Overall condition is quite good although as usual there is some age or heat related deterioration of the plastic in places - see photos. Stock code MW16084.
