Stores reference 22c/750/1.  Size 7/8.  A pair of slightly mismatched boots that appear to have been worn as a pair.  The left is a '7', the right an '8'.  There is a small difference in the position of the zip at the top between the boots and the left appears to have a more generous foot section.  The brown suede uppers of both are in excellent clean undamaged condition.  The rubber 'galosh' section on the left boot is largely complete but it has hardened a bit and there is some loss and shrinkage from the suede as shown.  The rubber on the other boot is very good, complete and remains flexible.  The heel sections are quite rigid but this is normal and exactly as they were manufactured.  Good working zips - one is a War Department broad arrow marked brass 'Lightning', the other an 'Air Ministry' marked 'W' zip.  The original 'Itshide' soles and heels show near identical levels of wear and use and remain good.  Both ankle straps have average use/wear.  Each is faintly marked in ink with the number '980'.  There is minor moulting at the edges of the linings and there are no insoles fitted.  One zip tongue is partially detached.  Both have AM or WD marks with faint size and A.I.D. stamps.  As mentioned above, although different sizes these would appear to have been issued and used as a pair - it's actually not as unusual as you might think.  Great for display.  Stock code B27054.
