RAF 1941 pattern Mae West kapok pads

RAF 1941 pattern Mae West kapok pads

Code: MW-NIV

SOLD

Stores reference 22c/93.  Full set of three buoyancy pads.  These are the first pattern for the 1941 Mae West produced using an internally proofed/rubberized cotton calico similar to those used in the 1932 pattern.   Each pad is filled with hand teased Java Kapok. All marked with faint stores numbers and King's Crown Air Ministry stamp.  Some marks and staining, very crumpled and a small tear in one pad but generally in good condition.  Extremely rare to find, these earlier pads are normally associated with the 'Flap Type' variant of the 1941 Mae West.  Guaranteed original.  Stock code MW-NIV.
