RAF 1941 Pattern Mae West Stole (Bladder)
Gold/yellow silk covered version of the standard rubberized cotton stole (bladder) for the 1941 pattern Mae West. The actual stole appears to be in very good flexible condition but the silk covering is stained and is coming away in places - see photos. The material of both the main stole and oral inflation tube is very flexible and the valve opens and closes freely on the latter. There is no inflation lever or CO2 bottle fitted but these can be supplied separately if required. Air Ministry and King's crown marked with an 1/41 date. Whilst these silk covered bladders were intended for tropical use they undoubtedly saw service over Europe too. Often found in the 'Flap-Type' Mae West. Stock code MW19215.
