RAF 1941 Pattern Mae West Stole (Bladder)

Code: MW19610

Sold

Stores ref. 22c/72. Grey rubberized cotton stole for the 1941 pattern Mae West. The material is generally very good, clean and flexible. The oral inflation tube has a tendancy to point downwards but is flexible and can be moved into the correct orienation. The valve opens and closes freely but the rubber sleeve around the valve end is a bit perished (see photo).  Not fitted with a circlip, inflation lever or CO2 bottle but these are currently available to purchase separately. King's crown Air Ministry marked and with 11.44 manufacture date. This would probably still inflate but we never recommend this as doing so introduces moisture and can promote internal rotting/perishing. An excellent late war example. Stock code MW19610.
