RAF 1941 Pattern Mae West Stole (Bladder)

Code: MW20398

Sold

Stores ref. 22c/72. Grey rubberized cotton stole for the 1941 pattern Mae West. The material is excellent, very flexible and quite clean.  The oral inflation tube is equally good and the valve opens and closes freely.  Note that the rubber valve 'sleeve' has split but this in no way affects the use (see photo).  Not fitted with a circlip, inflation lever or CO2 bottle.  These are currently available to purchase separately. King's crown Air Ministry marked with 1.45 manufacture date and later  inspection dates into the early 1950s. This would probably still inflate but we advise against this as doing so introduces moisture and can promote internal rotting/perishing. An excellent late war example. Stock code MW20398.
