RAF 1941 pattern Mae West
'Life-saving Waistcoat, Stole Inflated'. Stores reference 22c/447. Size medium. The cloth is in very good undamaged condition. It retains good strong colour but has some soiling and marks. Stencilled '291' to front right breast. The Mae West has both grab handles, tying tapes and original buttons, inflation lever pocket, fluorescene flap/strap, flotation lamp pocket and skull cap/heliograph pocket (press stud corroded and pulling from the fabric). Most of the straps are present but the two rear leg straps have been cut down and the lifeline and toggle are absent. Excellent original 'Lightning' zip. Air Ministry King's crown label with Air Ministry ink stamp beneath. A good used example. Stock code MW22574.
