Oatmeal coloured plastic tube whistle issued for the 1941 Pattern Mae-West. Unmarked (as always). These were issued later in the war. It is generally accepted that this was done to prevent the possibility of metal whistles freezing to the lips in extreme conditions. Typically there is some age or heat related deterioration of the plastic with distortion and minor cracking in places - see photographs. Fair condition only. Stock code MW15267.
