Size 10. Classic black leather service dress shoe with a leather sole and rubber capped heels. They show wear and use, notably around the opening and linings where there is some separation of the inner and outer layers (see photographs). Each show has Air Ministry marks, contract codes and 1938 dated. Although technically a uniform item, many fighter pilots preferred to wear their shoes during flight as they were less bulky than boots. Extraordinarily rare to find genuine issue shoes. Stock code B22253.
