Code: B28900
By John White. Size 12. 1944 dated. Unlined green suede boots with leather soles/heels. The suede is a bit soiled but generally good. It remains supple and both drawstrings are still in place at the top - these were used to enable a secure fit in order to prevent insect attack. The original leather soles and heels show moderate use and wear. These boots are often unmarked but this pair has clear War Department and size marks and slightly less clear manufacturer's details and 1944 date on the leather insoles*.
Although intended for ground personnel use these proved to be very popular with aircrews. The 'Mosquito' boot is difficult to obtain and often found in poor condition. Very good used condition and in a rare large size. Stock code B28900.
