By John White. Size 8. 1945 dated. Unlined green suede boots with leather soles/heels. The suede on the left boot is excellent but the right boot has some small marks where the pile of the suede has been 'nibbled' a bit. Both are supple, very clean and retain drawstrings at the top - these were used to enable a secure fit in order to prevent insect attack. The original leather soles and heels show only light use and wear. These boots are often unmarked but this pair has War Department marks, manufacturer's details and 1945 date on the insole.
Although intended for ground personnel use these proved to be very popular with aircrews. The 'Mosquito' boot is difficult to obtain and often found in poor condition. Very good '+' used condition. Stock code B26488.
