R.C.A.F. Stores reference 22c/22, R.A.F. Stores reference 22c/*55 (this is for the complete garment with kapok pads and stole, the actual reference for the 'outer' being 22c/240). Manufactured by the Dominion Rubber Company Limited. Size Large. The material is in excellent overall condition retaining good strong colour with only minor soiling and one small nick (shown). Stencilled with 'user' instructions to the front lobes. Complete with excellent original chromed 'DoT' zip, original buttons and buckled straps. This is an early pattern example that was never fitted with leg straps. With faded RCAF / RAF label. The internal rubberisation remains in excellent condtion and is not shedding yellow dust as is often the case. A very good '+' to excellent used example. These yellow Canadian variants are essentially the same as the ultra rare RAF green coloured 1932 pattern 'Battle of Britain' Mae West at a fraction of the cost. Stock code MW27416.
