200 Missions - 8th AAF 401st Bomb Group

P/b, 23 x 19cm, 8p. 1945.  Published to commemorate the completion of the 401st bombardment group's 200th bombing mission over Europe and dedicated to those officers and men who gave their lives in the prosecution of the air war in Europe.  It contains a brief history of the unit and photographs of life on the base (Deenethorpe), personnel, their famous B-17s including 'Betty J', 'Fancy Nancy' and 'Boche Buster'.  There are also messages from the Commanding Officers of the 1st Air Division and 94th Combat Bomb Wing.  Rather creased and with a few small edge pieces missing.  Fair condition.  Another very rare book from a recently purchased 8th/9th AAF collection.  Stock code P24206.
